It was no lie, Jim had been looking forward to meeting the illustrious Sherlette Holmes for far, far too long.
Now he had decided that it was time to play, and play he certainly would.

He had gotten into the IT department easily, effortlessly. Then he had gotten to Molly Hooper, all she needed was flattery.
She talked endlessly about Sherlette, and Jim found he was learning more than he already knew from  observations.

But now, he walked behind Molly into a lab. There was a woman standing staring at the ceiling, looking as though she was bored out of her mind. She had blond hair and a kind face, Jim instantly knew this was Joan, Joan Watson.
Flatmate and probably more. His jaw tightened, but she didn’t notice, she didn’t even seem to have heard them walk in.
“Joan, look.”
She heard that, and she was at the other woman’s side within a second, leaning over her shoulder, examining whatever the petri dishes contained.

Was it so  much to hope that it was a clue from his own latest games?

Jim had heard Sherlette’s voice before, of course they had spoken many times under different aliases, unknown to her or perhaps the other way around, she was skilled at what she did.
But she was good. On the side of the angels.

“Sherl…Joan, uh…hi?” Molly stuttered beside him, shifting awkwardly.
“What do you want?” Came Sherlette’s flat reply.

“This is Jim. My boyfriend. From IT.”

Sherlette spun around in her chair and looked between them both, Joan wore a confused expression. “And?”

“I’ve heard a lot about you.” Jim piped up, his voice low and soft, walking forward he extended a bare arm and hand, “Nice to finally meet you.”

Sherlette stared blankly at him and didn’t move from her chair, even in response to Joan’s motion. “He’s not your boyfriend Molly.” Sherlette said quietly and quickly after a short glance and then returned to her seat.

Jim heard these words and knew Molly had too, “Pardon?”

Sherlette rolled her eyes, “I mean, nice boyfriend Molly.”

Jim realised that she wouldn’t move towards him so he moved towards her slowly, placed a hand lightly on her shoulder and leaned in close to her ear.
“Jim Moriarty. Hiii.”
